Picking the right mode for your AI agent

Every Prostay AI agent supports three modes. The right mode depends on the channel, the intent and the team’s comfort with the agent’s past behaviour. The rubric below is the one our customer success team teaches new operators.
The rubric
- Suggest-only, agent drafts, human sends. Use for week one of a new deployment.
- Suggest-with-approval, agent drafts, supervisor approves in batches. Use weeks two–four.
- Auto, agent acts within scoped tools. Use once supervisor approval rate exceeds 95% for two weeks.
Per-channel overrides
Most operators run auto on WhatsApp inbound (high volume, low risk per message), suggest-with-approval on email (longer context, higher impact), and suggest-only on OTA messages (the OTA channel itself is high-stakes for ratings).
