A housekeeping board that runs itself

Housekeeping is the second-most-coordinated function in a hotel after the front desk. When it runs on a paper board and a clipboard, the rest of the operation pays for it. When it runs on a board that updates itself, the front desk stops asking and the GM stops chasing.
Three triggers, one board
- Reservation events trigger room status changes (check-out marks dirty, check-in marks occupied).
- Housekeeping app updates trigger inspection and ready states with timestamps.
- Engineering tickets trigger out-of-order without a phone call.
When all three triggers feed the same board in real time, the supervisor stops walking the floor for status. They walk the floor for the four exceptions of the morning.
Routing rules that make sense
- Stayovers grouped by floor; departures grouped by section.
- High-touch suites assigned to senior team members; standard rooms balanced by tenure.
- Late departures auto-rebalanced when the board flips departure to stayover.
- VIP arrivals flagged with a 30-minute earlier-than-3pm target.
