Custom Settings and Codes on the Booking Engine.

Understanding the various other custom tools available is essential for fully utilizing Prostay's booking engine capabilities.

Here are the various custom components, and what they are helpful for.

  1. To use the custom settings and codes, go to customizations in the booking engine and navigate to the “Custom Codes” tab.
  2. Choose "Yes" or “No” if you'd prefer to display your property's photo on the booking engine. We recommend enabling this feature.
  3. Click “Edit" beside Custom Meta Tags. After including tags, click “save.”
    • Custom meta tags are additional HTML tags added to the header of your booking engine page to provide additional information to browsers, crawlers, and third-party tools.
    • Add them to enhance SEO, control your booking engine's appearance on search engines, and social media, and enable integration like Open Graph or Twitter cards.
  4. Click “Edit” beside custom meta tags for the confirmation page only.
    • These meta tags appear exclusively on the booking confirmation page after a guest completes a reservation.
    • It's crucial for tracking successful bookings by passing key data to marketing and analytics platforms.
  5. “Edit” the JavaScript Code for the confirmation page only.
    • This lets you run JavaScript exclusively on the confirmation page after a successful booking.
    • Perfect for firing tracking pixels, running analytics scripts, or connecting with third-party tools that can affect the confirmation page.
  6. “Edit” the custom header to input a preferred header for your hotel booking. This could be a welcome prompt or anything else.
